الملخص AR

This study explores the incentives and disincentives system in a Saudi higher educational institution.

The study population consisted of 185 Saudi female personnel, who responded to a survey questionnaire.

While respondents felt that hard workers received adequate intrinsic rewards, the data gathered indicated that the incentives system is considered generally inadequate.

With regard to disincentives, inefficient employees were reportedly not receiving tangible punishment.

On the other hand, they did seein to receive adequate intangible punishment.

Recommendations for improvement are made on the basis of these findings.
