In this paper, the design of linear phase VlR digital filter using Frequency Sampling method is presented.

Snch design is achieved with a reduction in the maximum .sfoji-barid ripples utilizing optimal iransitiou-bxuit sample value throughout the use of Golden Sreticn search method fur iin^k traosUicn samples, and with aid yf Steepest Dcsccnt method (or double transition samples.

The realisation requirements of such filters are reduced by the we of a new analytic design.

The reduction can be increased to 50% of the whole flU«r Mtrueturc.

Therefore, the dcalgnctl FIR filter offcru global properties, minimum stop-hand, minimum pass-band, average deviation, and reduced structure complexity.
