A finite-difference time-domain technique for analysis nonlinear waveguide structure

In this paper an explicit fmite-difference time-domain (FDTD) approach for solving the wave equation in nonlinear optical waveguiding rectangular structure is proposed.

The validity of the proposed technique is demonstrated through its applications on a rectangular four layers waveguide structure where one layer is a nonlinear medium.

The stability conditions are also derived and tested.
