A remark on noetherian property of certain type of algebras

For a simple algebraic extension R c /?[a] of commutative rings, we consider the ring R(a), which was introduced in [8] in seeking conditions for ker(fl[X] —> #[a]) to be minimally generated.

The purpose of this paper is to show that R(a) is Noetherian if and only if R is Noetherian.
