Sintering of WC-Co alloys and influence of some parameters on the densification of the sintered products

Some powders of tungsten carbide (WC) and of cobalt (Co) and some mixture of these ground and subdued powders were compressed to a pressure of compression 256 Mpa.

The sintering of the obtained tablets permitted a comparative study of the mixtures H'C-Co for different contents in cobalt and for various granulometries.

The study was conduct under well attended emptiness one sweep of argon.

The relative density and the shrinkage allowed to characterize the sintered products.
