Kidney transplatation in a patient with primary hyperoxaluria

Renal transplant has been proposed as the treatment of choice for patients who develop end-stage renal failure because of primary hyperoxaluria.

However, the transplant experience in this disease has been disappointed, as renal oxalosis leads to graft loss within a short period after transplantation.

In this report we present a case of acute renal failure two months after living related kidney transplantation in a patient with primary hyperoxaluria.
