On the distribution of difference of quadratic forms and ratios of differences of quadratic forms in normal random variables

This paper will address the differences if chi-square random variables and the ratios of such differences.

A binomial series expansion will be used to derive &e distribution of the difference of two chi-square random variables.

The probability distribution function as well as the cumulative distribution function will be derived for ratios of differences of chi-square random variables.

A computer program is constructed to compute the c.d.f.

values for such ratio.

An application of the above toinference in cross classification problems will be given.
