Similarly, English teachers very often express feelings of dissatisfaction and resentment because of their students inability to cope with the language orally and/or in writing.

The present paper thus aims at further examining this problem whicW obviously, needs nuich more exploration, The paper has presented a host of causes for and several solutions to the low level of language proficiency of English major-s in Arab Universities.

Finally, I strongly rccommend that Arab University authorities:* educators and language practitioners seriously consider the causes and solutions which the paper has pinpointed it we really Want the ling)ish departments to train and graduate well-:qualified special-ists who will play a positive role in society development and prosperity.
