Predominant types of pavement distress in the network of grater Karak

A comprehensive pavement evaluation study was carried out on the streets of Greater Karak.

The Pavement condition index method of evaluation was selected.

All types of distresses were identified, quantified and grouped according to causes of distresses.

The impact of each group was calculated and compared for each of the three zones and types of streets of Greater Karak.

The main conclusion for the study is that load related distresses are not the most predominant factor for the existing condition of the streets.
