The relationship between the distances which separate the central, lateral incisors, from the incisive papilla has been studied on 62 dentates.

These distances are statistically related to the length of the incisive papilla.

A method which is based on the linear regression analysis is proposed to estimate the position of centrals, laterals in the horizontal plane.

Canines are placed on a line 2-3 mm in from of the posterior border of the incisive papilla.
