الملخص EN

The ash remaining after the burning of oilshale has been utilised in the preparation of lightweight blocks.

Other local inorganic raw materials such as phosphate rocks, clay minerals and bentonite have been used to substitute the oilshaleash in parts.

The physical and structural properties of the prepared lightweight samples have been investigated and proved that these materials can be employed as thermal insulating materials.

Approximately 50% reduction in energy consumption can be achieved when these materials are incorporated into building models.
