Analysis of some error detection and correction codes for computer arithmetic

The use of error detection and correction in computer, arithmetic is addressed in this paper.

It is shown that codes designed for error detection and correction in computer memory can’t always be used for controlling computer arithmetic.

The efficiency of the modulo code which is proposed in this paper for controling arithmetic operation is analysed.

These codes can also be used for correcting arithmetic errors.
