A subvolcanic suite of probably Triassic age is petrographically and geochemical-ly investigated.

The studied rocks are exposed in (he form of dikes and sills, rarely exceeding 20 meters in thickness, in the Cambrian and Triassic of W.

Himara and in the Triassic or W.

Hisban and Naur.

These magmatic bodies comprise teschenites.

trachytes and trachyandesites.

They have mild (o strongly alkaline charactcr and display enriched incompatible elements patterns similar to comparable patterns of continental rift zone magmatism, Incompatible element ratios suggest that the studied rocks are cogenetic and that their evolution was controlled by fractional crystallization of one or more phases of the assemblage olivine, plagioclase, clinopyrmene and magnetite.
