Modelling contaminants transport in groundwater system

In this paper a computer program (or modelling flow and contaminants transport in groundwater system was developed using both analytical and numerical advective-dispcrsive mathematical tools.

The methodology for developing and implementing such mathematical models to assess the nature of contaminants activity in groundwater systems is presented in addition to the basic theory and knowledge required.

The developed model is then tested for various cases with different conditions.

The numerical computer simulation results and the corresponding analytical solutions for specific set of conditions showed the model capability in simulation of groundwater transport.
