الملخص الإنجليزي

This study aims at knowing management aspects in Jordan Phosphate Company from the perspectives of employees based on Hofstede's cultural dimensions.

Hofstede model of six dimensions are: Power Distance, Uncertainty Avoidance, Individualism / Collectivism, Masculinity / Femininity, Long-term Orientation and Indulgence / Restraint.

The population of this study consisted from all of the employees at Jordan Phosphate company which are 4200 employee, then a sample of 270 employees was chosen.

A questionnaire was prepared and distributed to the employees and the number went down to 242 eligible to analysis questionnaires.

Also demographic variables were used such as (gender, age, educational level, experience, and managerial level).

In addition, a group of statistical methods were executed, such as data reliability analysis, frequencies, Descriptive Statistics, cross tabulation and one-sample t-test.

Data of the study were analyzed using (SPSS.16.1).

The findings of the study revealed in summary that Employees at Jordan Phosphate company do feel a high degree of power distance and a high degree of uncertainty avoidance.

They also leaned to collectivism in conduct and masculinity.

Moreover they do not have a long-term orientation and lean to restraint.

Some of the recommendations that the study provided were increasing the role of R & D to reduce high uncertainty avoidance, allowing more gratification of desires to pave the way for innovation, making adjustments accordingly as culture and national culture widely affect management styles and decision-making process, promoting feminism and covering more of Hofstede's dimensions like monumentalism and self-effacement.
