The formation of sulfate scale deposit, causes damage on multi- stage flash distillation plant in Skikda, when desaling seawater.

A comparative study of two anti-scale agents, Kemazur 1183 and Calgon, showes that a weak quantity of Calgon, is necessary and sufficient to reduce this scale deposit, increasing also the production of distilled water.
