Synthesis and pharmacological evaluation of some new thiamazole derivatives

A new series of 2-propanolamine derivatives containing thiadiazole moiety has been prepared and derivatives are evaluated for their cardio- vascular activity.

The object compounds were tested using normotensive anaesthetized rats to study their effects on blood pressure and heart rate.

Preliminary studies revealed slight depressor effects on blood pressure and heart rate.

These compounds were devoid of ß-blocking effects.
