Despite the emergence of a 125 GeV Higgs-like particle at the LHC, we explore the possibility of dynamical electroweak symmetry breaking by strong Yukawa coupling of very heavy new chiral quarks Q.

Taking the 125 GeV object to be a dilaton with suppressed couplings, we note that the Goldstone bosons G exist as longitudinal modes VL of the weak bosons and would couple to Q with Yukawa coupling λQ.

With mQ≳700 GeV from LHC, the strong λQ≳4 could lead to deeply bound QQ¯ states.

We postulate that the leading “collapsed state,” the color-singlet (heavy) isotriplet, pseudoscalar QQ¯ meson π1, is G itself, and a gap equation without Higgs is constructed.

Dynamical symmetry breaking is affected via strong λQ, generating mQ while self-consistently justifying treating G as massless in the loop, hence, “bootstrap,” Solving such a gap equation, we find that mQ should be several TeV, or λQ≳4π, and would become much heavier if there is a light Higgs boson.

For such heavy chiral quarks, we find analogy with the π−N system, by which we conjecture the possible annihilation phenomena of QQ¯→nVL with high multiplicity, the search of which might be aided by Yukawa-bound QQ¯ resonances.
