الملخص الإنجليزي

The paper aimed at reviewing and analyzing the American-Arab/Muslim relations and its unprecedented deterioration after the September 11th attacks, understanding some of the reasons for the tensions and the lack of trust between the two camps, reviewing the American-Arab/education partnerships in higher education in the Middle East that provides high quality educational services to students from all over the world, and emphasizing the very essential role of education in that context to regain trust, build and maintain bridges of peace, mutual understanding, tolerance, respect and cooperation between American-Arab/Muslim nations.

Adopting a critical analytical approach and building mainly on primary and secondary resources, the author argued and concluded that education is in the heart and mind of every Arab and Muslim from cultural and religious perspectives.

The American education is highly appreciated by Arabs and Muslims and there is a wide agreement in Arab and Islamic worlds that American higher education is among the top systems in the world.

The American education should be given the chance to be the heart of cooperation and partnership between Americans and Arabs/ Muslims as it represents the strongest soft power the USA possesses.
