الملخص الإنجليزي

With the economic development all over the world, and continued expansion in the use of information, and increased dependency on information technology in various sectors including economic, social, political, humanitarian and educational, there was a need for databases, and distributed database to allow the distribution and sharing of data via different network sites which are concerned about the integrity of the database.

In this thesis the researcher formulated the rules for Distributed databases, discussed the advantage and disadvantage of the DDBMS, defined the security on it, and classified the information on three levels (public – sensitive – very sensitive).

And then he explained the main problems of security breaches and unauthorized access to sensitive data.

After that he reviewed some of the hypotheses for the research topic, and defined the tools which he will use in the research.

This research defines the DDBMS and describes the aims, components, types and requirements of DDBMS security, also it includes introduction to the banking system and services provided to clients, and the benefits of using the bank environment that implements the data distribution.

There is also a view of security system in the bank and various threats to it.

This thesis focuses on proposed design by building a model for banking distributed database over four branches, and three levels, each level has different authorization to access the system.

Then the researcher discusses the proposed design from another scenario to create one tier at a time, which begins with the data layer, then business-rule object, and finally creating the user interface.

This study presents the application of each department of the system, and explains how to implement each of the security solutions proposed to solve the problem, such as the mechanism view the data on the table (fields, tuples) for various levels of stuff, and how to control access to such data, and to take approval on the financial transactions, and to encrypt some fields in the database.

Our security solutions improve the capacity of existing security system, and the performance enhancements of proposed system were highly and positively correlated with acceptance levels compared with the current system.
