One ofthe rare manifestations ofsysteinic lupus erytlie-matnsus (SI.{']) is tendon rupture in patients on corticos-teroid therapy and long disease duration.

A case is pre-sented W'tli bilateral patellar tendon rupture three months after diagnosis of SLE and later spontaneous rupture of the extensor ofthe little finger and the triceps tendon when on a small dose ofsteroids and with inactive disease.
