This study was conducted on one hundred and forty infertile women due to anovulation and or luteal phase defect was the only cause.

Full infertility work up and hormonal profile were done.

Patients were divided into 3 groups based on type of infertility and hormonal profile.

Each group was treated on two regimens.

In group I & I the first regimen was to use the ovulation induction therapy only while in the 2nd regimen, the hcG was used in days 3,6 and 9 Post-triggerng as a luteal phase support 20001u hcG in each injection, while in group III the aim was to improve the folliculogenesis to improve the luteal in turn by using bromocriptin and or coticosteroids (Regimen-5) or GnRH-a in (Regimen-6) .

Monitoring of luteal phase was done by ultrasonography and mid-luteal serum progesterone level.

It was found that the mean serum mid-luteal progesterone level was increased after all methods of treatment especially in the 2nd regimen in group III.

There was a positive correlation between post treatment progesterone value and the pregnancy rate and take home baby rate.

Multiple pregnancy rate was increased with hMG and the greatest when GnRH-a.

were used Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome was evident only in cases used hMG in group II & III but not in GnRH-a cases.
