الملخص الإنجليزي

The purpose of this thesis is to solve the problem of the levels generation phase in the game development life cycle, specifically in the video games type that requiring path finding algorithms to be implemented to lead the characters inside the game for their path form a specific source node to specific destination node.

The level designer might face difficulties while designing each level, the level designer might build a level that has no path from source node to destination node.

This phase is consuming resource, money and time, specially on a game consisted of hundreds of levels.

The approach is designing a tool that takes an inputs from the user to define the constraints of the level, the height of the level will be the number of rows, the width of the level will be the number of columns, to create a grid that has a specific number of cells used to place the object inside them.

The user also will provide the tool with the number of game objects want to be placed, the next step is to validate the input, if its valid the tool will generate the level according to the constraints giving by the user, and place the game objects or the obstacles randomly, and finally it will ensure one path from source node to destination node.

When using this tool a huge time difference found comparing with the manual approach, where a specific level took about 15 minutes to be designed manually, it took 3 seconds to be designed using this tool, and it will make sure to provide the level with one path at least from the giving source to the giving destination.
