Gender and other linguistic aspects of balakayati sub-dialect

Showing the most outstanding aspects of linguistics particularly those relate to gender in Balakayati sub-dialect, the present study tries to display an analysis of some linguistic aspects one of which is the phenomenon of masculinity and femininity in addition to other properties that distinguish Balakayati sub-dialect.

The findings and conclusions arrived at as a result of this investigationare expected to beof value and contribute to linguistics particularly in the field of syntax and dialectology.

This effort is an introduction by which Kurdish writers and grammarians tackle such sub-dialects in further detail so that they could get what they are looking for to fill the gaps still found in the process of standardization Kurdish language.The study is based mainly on a precise investigation of the linguistic aspects of gender and other syntactic features in Balakayati region.That is, part of the survey is empirical and it is the outcome of years of experiences of poets, writers and politicians interested in language.

The other part is an analysis of gender in South Kirmanji compared to Balakayati sub-dialect.Such an evaluation requires further investigation into this area of study which has not been given adequate attention.
