الملخص الإنجليزي

The purpose of this study was to propose a model for school organizational health in light of current status and contemporary administrative trends and to measure its adequacy.

This was achieved through answering the following questions: 1.

What is the current status of the organizational health at the Jordanian public secondary schools as perceived by teachers? 2.

What are the administrative contemporary trends of the organizational health in the public secondary schools? 3.

What is the proposed model for the organizational health at the Jordanian public secondary schools in light of current status and contemporary administrative trends? 4.

What is the adequacy of the proposed model for the organizational health at the Jordanian public secondary schools in light of current status and contemporary administrative trends as perceived by experts and specialists? The study used a stratified cluster random sample, from high school teachers at (100) public secondary schools in Jordan, consisting of (1118) individuals.

Also, it used The Psycho-Social Environment (PSE) profile developed by the World Health Organization.

It was translated into Arabic.

The instrument's validity, reliability and adaptation to Jordanian culture has been established.

It consists of seven dimensions: Providing a friendly, rewarding and supportive atmosphere, Supporting cooperation and active learning, Forbidding physical punishment and violence, Not tolerating bullying, harassment and discrimination, Valuing the development of creative activities, Connecting school and home life through involving parents, and Promoting equal opportunities and participation in decision-making.

The results of this study indicated that the status quo of the school organizational health in Jordan and the existence of the seven dimensions is in the medium level.

School total quality management, leadership and communication were identified as the contemporary administrative trends of the school organizational health.

In light of this status and the contemporary administrative trends, the researcher proposed a model for school organizational health.

The adequacy of this model was examined by the experts and specialists' point of view.

In light of the study results, the researchers' main recommendation is to adopt the proposed model to develop and raise the school organizational health level in Jordan
