الملخص AR
أجريت هذه الدراسة بهدف تقييم وظائف الخصى في الأرانب بعد التعرض للتسمم تحت المزمن بالفورمالدهيد و إمكانية استخدام الكارنتين للوقاية و الحماية من آثاره.
أجريت هذه الدراسة لمدة ثلاثة شهور على 20 ذكر أرنب نيوزيلاندى بالغ و قد قسمت إلى أربعة مجموعات متساوية (خمسة أرانب لكل مجموعة).
المجموعة الأولى (الضابطة) أخذت محلول ملح عن طريق الفم، المجموعة الثانية تم إعطائها اللبن و الذي يحتوي على نسبة فورمالدهيد أعلى من المسموح بها بعد عمل تحليلا بالكروماتوجرافيا الطيفية للعديد من الألبان الموجودة بالأسواق المحلية، المجموعة الثالثة و تم إعطائها اللبن به الفورمالدهيد و الكارنتين في نفس الوقت، المجموعة الرابعة و تم إعطائها الكارنتين فقط.
تم متابعة و وزن الحيوانات و اختبار الرغبة الجنسية و حساب زمن التفاعل الجنسي الإيجابي و تجميع السائل المنوي (استخدمت انثتين للتجميع عليهم) بواسطة المهبل الاصطناعي و تقييمه كل 15 يوم طوال فترة التجربة.
كما تم فحص الخصى باستخدام الدوبلر لتحديد سريان الدم في كل المجموعات.
أظهرت النتائج أن الرغبة الجنسية و زمن التفاعل الإيجابي بين المجموعات لم تختلف.
كما أظهرت أن أوزان الأرانب، حجم القذفة، نسبة الحيامن المتحركة، نسبة الحيامن الحية و عدد الحيامن يقل بشكل واضح (P<0.001)، في مجموعة الفورمالدهيد لوحظ أيضاً ارتفاع الرقم الهيدروجيني و نسبة الحيامن المشوهه في نفس المجموعة.
على الجانب الآخر تم تسجيل زيادة ملحوظة في حركة و نسبة حيوية و عدد الحيامين و نقص ملحوظ في نسبة الحيامن المشوهه (P<0.001) في مجموعة الكارنتين.
لوحظ نقص في تدفق الدم في الخصى للأرانب بمجموعة الفورمالدهيد فقط.
و قد خلصت الدراسة إلى أن التسمم تحت المزمن بالفورمالدهيد له تأثير سئ جداً على المنى بذكور الأرانب و يمكن استخدام الكارنتين للوقاية من تأثيره الضار.
الملخص EN
This study aimed to evaluate testicular function of rabbit exposing to subchronic toxicity of formaldehyde and possible protective role of L-carnitine.
A total twenty Newzealand adult male rabbits divided randomly into four equal groups were used.
For Three months, the first control group (CG) received saline, second group (FA) received formaldehyde in milk, third group (FA + LC) received the L-carnitine in combination with formaldehyde in milk and the fourth group (LC) received 250 mg∕kg L-Carnitine orally.
Animal weight, sexual desire, reaction time, semen analysis and testicular blood flow estimated each 15 days.
There were no significant differences in the sexual desire, reaction time between groups.
The body weight, ejaculate volume, sperm motility, alive sperm percent and sperm cell count were dramatically decreased (P < 0.
001), while sperm abnormality percent and pH increased in FA group.
On the other hand, the motility, viability percent and sperm cell count increased with marked decrease (P < 0.
001) in sperm abnormality percent in L-carnitine group.
FA group showed an increase in the intratesticular blood perfusion.
Formaldehyde subchronic toxicity has dramatic adverse effects on the rabbit semen and could be overcomed using L-carnitine.
