الملخص الإنجليزي

When competition between organizations becomes intense, the issue of managerial communication becomes the issue of thoughtful consideration, as it is a way that guarantees organizational cohesion that is necessary for the success of any corporation.

Therefore, I saw it of importance to investigate the communication skills of middle managers and the correlation between managerial models and communication in a Moroccan organization, namely Royal Air Maroc (RAM).

This investigation was undertaken through field research conducted on 17 middle and upper-level managers, and 21 of their subordinates.

To undertake my fieldwork, I opted for both question guides to be used in face to face interviews with both upper and middle-level managers and a questionnaire to be handed to managers’ subordinates.

I also undertook a longitudinal ethnographic study with one manager.

In my analysis, I used both quantitative and qualitative methods to interpret the gathered data.

Through this fieldwork, I discovered that there is a huge gap between the reality of internal communication and what is prescribed in the internal communication plan.

Such a gap was expected in the case of RAM, as the prescribed plan has a narrow view of what internal communication should be in important organizations.

The research also highlights that this break in RAM internal communication is due to the accumulation of a number of elements: the poor communication skills of middle managers, the use of inadequate leadership models, and the divisive structure of the company.
