الملخص الإنجليزي

The Moroccan-Spanish dispute over the enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla has existed for centuries and marked the long lasting relations between the two neighboring countries.

It is true that the Moroccan-Spanish relations are based upon a common historical background as well as geographical proximity.

The objective of this study is to determine whether the nature of these relations is affected by the existing territorial dispute over the enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla as well as the adjacent islands.

Various researches from both sides of the strait have went trough the study of the nature of Moroccan-Spanish relations.

Also, politicians and diplomats have insistently debated about the bilateral and regional features that make up relations between Morocco and Spain.

This study attempts to analyze the complex relationship that Morocco and Spain are enduring with regard to the territorial dispute over the enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla
