The quality assurance in the sector of education is severely required in the GCC countries in order to tackle the structural imbalances in the field.

The GCC quality of education is considered to be relatively behind the developed countries in spite of owing immense economic resources which can provide the required finance for improvement and reforms plans.

This paper examines the impact of establishing education quality assurance boards and authorities in the GCC countries on the education environment and the future prospects that can be read through the current reforms.

One of the main conclusions of this study is that more power should be given to these boards and authorities in order to respond positively to these structural imbalances.

Expanding the share of the efficient private education, continuous cooperation and coordination with international quality assurance boards, dynamic governance and competitive funding are among these reforms which can draw bright future prospects for the quality assurance of education in the GCC countries.
