الملخص الإنجليزي

One of the major bottlenecks that face the development of computer system is the data transfer speed latency between the main memory and disk.

One of the major needs of using the computer network and distributed systems is the optimize use of the computer resources.

So, from these two points of view exploiting the idle memory in the network, especially by using the high-speed line network and high performance network hardware, can solve the bottleneck of data transfer latency.

In addition, the distributed operating system faces many problems; one of them is the management of the network resources, like memory. The cooperative caching technique can play a key role to manage the whole memory available in the network so that the access time of remote memory is less than access time of the remote server disk. The proposed system work in user mode using LAN working under any network operating system and it implemented using Java programming language.

In spite that the implementation is done in the user mode, the final results show a high speed up ratio in accessing remote memory, and it reach on average 17 times faster than accessing server disk.
