Some Acacia species are characterized as difficult-to-root species when stem cuttings are used for vegetative propagation.

It was reported that the internal structure of the stem especially the degree of lignification ١١؛ the stem tissues affected the rooting capacity ol' the cuttings.

Senegal has a continuous lignified sheath at various stages of nittturities and ١١٢) rooting was reported in all seasons.

The lignified sheath was almost absent ١٦؛ Eucalyptus microtheca stem tissues and the rooting capacity was high.
