Lingual schwannoma : a case report.

We describe an18-year old male patient with a 5 months previous history of swelling at the posterior mobile part of the tongue.

The patient had difficulty in swallowing and speaking at the referral time.

Examination of the oral cavity showed a swelling of 2 x 2 cm on the posterior part of the tongue, more towards the right side.

Macroscopically, the entire lesion was removed with its capsule.

Histopathological examination of the surgical specimen showed a schwannoma.
