This research aims to discuss the leadership approaches of the ?rophet peace be upon him during the Farewell ?ilgrimage (Hajjat al-wadaa).

The Farewell Pilgrimage was an extension of the Prophet’s Message, which began in Mecca since the reception of revelation by the Prophet in Hira cave.

These leadership qualities of the Prophet which accrued during the Farewell Pilgrimage should be adopted and considered by every Muslim commander.

In the Farewell Pilgrimage the Prophet peace be upon him gave a historic speech on the plain ©f Arafat in which he summed up the main points of his teachings.

He stressed on the plan of Islam, and its political, economic, social and all the affairs of life.

During the Farewell Pilgrimage, the Prophet had demonstrated to the muslims how to perform the rites of Hajj, as well as how a muslim leader should lead the pilgrimage from the start, through Megat, approaching Mecca, all Manasik and Mashair, tell leaving Mecca.
