Screening of antioxidant, antibacterial and antifungal properties of essential oil extracted from the peel of grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) The aim of this research is to assess in vitro antioxidant, antibacterial and antifungal activities of essential oil extracted from grapefruit peel (Citrus paradisi).

Extraction has been made by water distillation.

Antioxidant activity was obtained by using DPPH and β-carotene blanching.

Results showed a high antioxidant activity (48.81%) relatively to E vitamin (47.21%) when antibacterial and antifungal activities have been made by disc diffusion method, results showed some inhibition activity of essential oil of grapefruit (Citrus paradise) on some micro-organism.
