Immunoglobin G4-related disease : two case reports and review of the recent literature

IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a new, multiorgan and constantly evolving disease characterized by IgG4-positive plasma cells in the affected organ.

This disease often affects the elderly.

The pancreas is the main target organ affected, with almost all organs in the body being affected.

A large amount of studies have been conducted to understand the pathogenesis of the disease and its spectrum.

For accurate diagnosis of the condition, an adequate knowledge of imaging findings, clinical presentations and laboratory reports is essential.

We report two cases of the IgG4-RD and review the recent literature about this increasingly recognized entity.
