الملخص EN

A great number of companies, worldwide, engage in discretionary activities that are designed to enhance social welfare.

As a consequence, researchers have found a connection between overall corporate social responsibility (CSR) and improvements in financial performance, consumers’ perceptions, and employees' work values, attitudes, and behaviors.

However, there are few empirical articles (if any) that have considered the possible influences that the discretionary component of CSR has on employees philanthropy.

Results of an online survey from 287 business professionals working in Kuwait indicate that employee-company identification and employees' attitudes toward donations fully mediate the relationship between employees' perceptions of discretionary CSR and employees’ donation intentions outside of work environment.
