الملخص الإنجليزي

In recent years, computing frameworks and technologies started making the development of enterprise applications much easier than ever before.

The popularity of cloud computing has pushed making business software to be delivered "as a service" (SaaS), more and more popular.

Business Service Providers have decided to resell SaaS to their usual clients with the help of online apps stores.

In that way, Service Providers will gain benefit by increasing their portfolio of offerings with value added services that will help increase revenue stickiness in their customer base.

In addition, the possibility to write applications that you deploy to a cloud platform has led to reduce infrastructure investment costs, and decrease related maintenance and management needs.

For that purpose, Alcatel-Lucent, one of the leaders of telecommunications equipment, has decided to build a cloud based solution for hosting My IC Phone(one of the latest releases of Alcatel-Lucent) applications and delivering them to their customers.

My IC Phone is the latest deskphone that offers Smartphone functionalities, multimedia experience, and unlimited number of applications.

In this Master project work, we have designed and implemented an apps store solution that provides users of the My IC Phone with unlimited number of applications; we have deported the device management functionalities to the cloud, and we have presented a process of how to write SIP and non-SIP hybrid applications (applications that run partially in the cloud) for the My IC Phone.

The apps store presents useful information about the apps and proposes links to download or to jointly run some of those applications into the cloud.

In addition to applications delivery, the apps store contains some many other features, such as, organizing virtual spaces for users depending on their uploaded, previous downloaded and even currently installed apps.

By deporting the device manager system up to the cloud, we have been able to centralize some of the My IC Phone device management functionalities and provide users 5 with the possibility to access their preferred installed apps from any other My IC Phone device anywhere in the world.

All functionalities that have been centralized into the cloud have been successfully migrated and have been correctly functioning as if they were still local to the device.

Our project has been deployed successfully into the Red Hat's Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering: OpenShift, which is an application platform where application developers and teams can build, test, deploy, and run their applications.

OpenShift has full support of Virtualization and provides the entire required infrastructure such as disk space, CPU resources, memory, network connectivity, and an Apache or JBoss server.
