الملخص الإنجليزي

E-commerce is unarguably the future of business.

It presents a huge potential to be exploited by brick and mortars, an additional channel to the traditional shopping experience and a lever to countries’ national economy.

This work argues that embedding a human-computer interaction perspective into the development of e-commerce websites is especially beneficial to address users’ needs and consequently ensure businesses’ economical profit.

Since quality is what guarantees success, grants loyalty and enhances the relationship between the product/service provider and the final customer; it is vital to highlight it during the development life cycle.

The added value of this research is a model that could be used as a roadmap to guide development and testing of ecommerce applications in the MENA region, strong by its peculiarity and emerging economic potential.

The model is built to fit the Moroccan environment and is then adapted to fit five countries of the region (Tunisia, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates).
