Through a systematic approach of preoperative evaluation, involving history taking, physical examination, and preoperative investigation, the anesthetist could optimize patient’s medical condition, determine a proper perioperative risk, develop an appropriate perioperative anesthetic plan, and improve quality for perioperative care.
