This study aims at identifying the levels of burnout among male/female counselors at Qassim Educational Region in the five dimensions (negative working environment, devaluing client, deterioration in personal life, exhaustion, and incompetency), in light the following variables: gender, age, academic specialization, teaching experience, counseling experience, school level, male/female class room population, and salary.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher uses Counselor Burnout Inventory (Lee, et al., 2007).

Participants are 326 counselors (male:178 and female:148 representing 53% of the population of the study).

The findings reveal that the level of burnout among the sample of counselors at Qassim Educational Region was moderate (48,24%) in regard to the whole measurement scale and to the five subscale dimensions.

Results also show that there are statistically significant differences in the level of burnout related to gender for females and to academic specialization for those other than Psychology or Social Services; the study also shows that there are statistically significant variations according to teaching experience for those who have (15 years experience or more) compared with those of lesser experience; differences are also found related to salary for those who have lesser income compared to those of higher income; differences are also found in relation counseling experience for those (from 5 to less than 10 years of experience) on the dimension of incompetency compared with those of lesser experience.

The study shows that there is no variation in the level of burnout with male and female counselors in relation to age, male/female classroom population.

Several recommendations were formulated in the light of findings.
