الملخص الإنجليزي

The aim of this study is to investigate a group of poetic evidences in the closed categories in light of preference theory and to verify the existence of one of performance standards which are grammaticality and usage.

Some of these poetic evidences that represent linguistic performances agree with the syntactic rules and others do not.

These linguistic performances were characterized as poetic necessities or irregularities.

Whilst, other contemporary scholars defined it differently based on the reality usage referring to as " Residual" or " Al Mutabqi".

This qualitative research will investigate the used linguistic tools in the poetic evidences that maintain the linguistic communication process.

This research included three chapters and a conclusion.

The first chapter included a discussion on the linguistic and idiomatic definition of the poetic evidence, the concept of alphabet and its divisions, characters and function as well as the poetic evidence between grammaticality and usage.

Also, this chapter involved provided a brief about the poetic evidence between necessity and residual, the linguistic and idiomatic definition of the concept of preference and its foundation and application through Arabic language rules.

The second chapter of this research discussed the poetic evidences from the point of view of closed nominal and verbal categories and their representation through preference standards respectively; grammaticality and usage.

The third chapter intended to uncover the poetic evidences in the unspecialized alphabet that have no diacritical or accentual effect on the construct, but has an influence on the grammatical significance.

Finally, the conclusion of research dealt with providing a discussion on the results and findings.
