Preparatory Year Program at Taibah University in Madinah uses different textbooks and resources to improve students’ English language level in general.

One of these books is entitled “Q: Skills for Success: Listening and Speaking Introduction Level - Special Edition”.

This paper analyzes the content of this book and the extent to which it integrates pair-work activities that develop students’ speaking skills.

The researcher used descriptive statistics; namely frequencies and percentages to determine the study results.

The research question was discussed quantitatively and qualitatively.

Findings revealed the presence of a good percentage of pair work activities dedicated to develop students’ speaking skill.

Also, results showed that such activities seem to motivate students to practice and ultimately enhance their speaking skills.
