الملخص EN

This research intends to investigate undergraduate EFL students' difficulty of pragmatic explanation of proverbs of justice.

A test ( in which such students who are third year students at the College of Education for Humanities/ English Department, University of Thi-qar are selected as the sample of the test ) is administrated to verify the assumption .

The whole results reveal that Undergraduate EFL learners fail pragmatically when they are required to interpret proverbs of justice.

In addition, they also fail due to lack of some semantic knowledge and other secondary related linguistic factors .
