The Lebanese academic professor Suhail Farah wrote about “The Globalized Western Modernity” presenting for seven civilization challenges encountered by the West in the time of globalization.

The writer points out that the world in modernity and postmodernity is living a situation of alienation from one’s self represented in the absence of confidence in both the present and in the future; besides, it makes the planetary civilization as if it were going through the tremors of a comprehensive earthquake.

In this research ideas and future perceptions of seven types of social disasters that have stormed the societies of modernity in the West over the past two centuries.

To achieve this theoretical attempt, the researcher calls for expanding the circle of examination and inspection of the principal causes through the activation of the complementary philosophical intellect for the purpose of designing the perceptions compatible with the strategies of cognitive advancement in the Arab and the Islamic countries.

In his presentation about the disasters jeopardizing the world, he sees that they mainly lie in the fields of economy, demography, environment, family, technical and scientific thinking in addition to the dilemmas of power and authority.
