This study aims to show the Israeli interests in Palestinian groundwater and the role of such interests in the Israel Israeli conflict.

In exploring this issue, the study employed the analytical descriptive methodology, an umbrella approach that could include a number of various approaches and methods such as questionnaires and case studies.

The study was carried out in two parts, each preceded by a prologue and followed by an epilogue featuring the most important results and recommendations.

Part One dealt with the Israeli control of groundwater, and the effects of this on the future of ‗the peace process‘ with Arab nations.

Part Two, however, dealt with the Israeli control of Palestinian groundwater and the effects of this on the future of the peace initiatives or overtures on the Palestine Question in particular.

The study included annexures and maps showing the areas of groundwater, rivers, and some basins of eastern Palestine.

The study concluded that Israel plundering systematically groundwater, especially the portion of Palestine; and that it is temporizing regarding concluding a political settlement, and that it considers the amount of water renewed annually, especially that of Palestine, an essential resource sufficient for fulfilling its needs.

Furthermore, the study stated that the entire area of the Jordan River is in needs of regional water projects that are to be effected by all the nations in the region, especially after reaching a modus Vivendi about this unequal Arab-Israeli conflict.

The study recommended that if Israel was to live in peace with Palestinians, then that would require it to recognise their political rights on their natural resources, especially water, along with its withdrawal from all the territories occupied in the 1967 aggression as the minimum required, and the distribution of water with Palestinians on an equal basis as this could help put an end to decades of conflict.

The study further recommended that the Arab side is required to come up with a solution for this crisis which constitutes a water strategy for this Ummah as time ir running out while the problem is worsening.
