A computer model was designed to simulate the 10 Mw IAEA research reactor core in transition from high to low enrichment.

Results were compared with previous studies and found acceptable.

Multiplication factors for both cores at beginning and end of cycle were determined as well as reactivity loss due to burnup.

The change in power peaking factor due to the change in enrichment was presented.

The change in axial flux in the experimental channels, due to change in core configuration, was determined and analyzed for both beginning and end of cycles.

The total absorber worth was determined for high and low enrichment cores, as well as individual worth for each control element.
