الملخص الإنجليزي

During the past years, information security has become interested by many researchers who are making efforts to come up with solutions and technologies and new ideas to ensure the transfer of information safely through various media, especially the Internet without any breakthrough revealed that information.

As a result, there are many techniques and methods that are currently being used in information security, and we will take a highlight on a new way to protect the information, that is aware of hiding (Steganography).

An image hiding is the art of concealing important information using one of the ways safe by hiding a secret image to a cover image.

In this thesis, it was suggested to hide a secret image randomly instead of sequentially using to modify the least significant bits' technique (MLSB) for each byte.

The number of bits to be replacing using MLSB is non-uniform, and it is equal to 1, 2 or 3 and up to 4 bits of each byte using the proposed hypothesis.

The main function of the proposed hiding algorithm has been imposed in this thesis to determine the amount of bits that will be taken from the secret image to hide to the cover image depending on the behaviour of the current byte and its relationship with the eight surrounded bytes.

To increase the degree of security of the proposed algorithm and to eliminate the weaknesses that existed among some researchers, we proposed some operation's assistance as dividing the cover image into non uniform segments’ sizes; this approach has been applied to scatter bits randomly into cover image and to make harder to recover the secret's bits by attackers.

In addition, using lossless image compression based on SPIHT algorithm and using encryption based on AES algorithm have been introduced effectively to reduce the size of the unreadable secret image and to damp time requirement to send stego image.

In a receiver side, the decryption and decompression algorithms have been applied to extract secret image.

The simulation results justify that the proposed approach is working efficiently and satisfied high imperceptible to work against visual and statistical attacks with high payload reach to 12 bpp (bit per pixel).
