Is it permissible for me to create a web portal in which I have no control over the content of discussion therein ? In my firm we are building a web portal that will help kindergartens / pre-school in Norway to interact with each other and children’s parents. By sending each other SMS texts or email, they will be able to view the calendar to see which days are off days and special occasion days in the kindergartens. Kindergartens in Norway are not run by Islamic principles and some even teach children to get acquainted with their sexuality in tender age. I am therefore very worried that if my company were to provide a web application that will enable kindergarten employees to send messages to each other and to the parents, I am falling into Haram. Should I refrain from this as I cannot control what would be in the messages that are to be sent by kindergartens employees to each other and to parents or should I proceed in making this communication software available as I am only providing the communication tool and not telling them what to communicate.
