Undoubtedly, police have a critical role in crime prevention and maintaining security and safety within society.

With a view to realizing performance effectiveness and winning public's confidence, crime reduction plans and programs should have been set in a way that takes public interest into consideration and safeguards dignity of UAE.

With that end in view, police should be aware of all challenges and available opportunities and should involve with partners and those concerned.

This study throws spotlight on police field performance to reduce crime in UAE.

It handles the topic by demonstrating police work factors based on security analysis of crimes; studying causes and impacts of crime and diagnosing associated risks.

It also sets forth efforts of UAE to reduce crimes.

Efforts included setting related legislations; field applications and the introduction of innovative ways to reduce crime and foster joint work with various community entities.

Study also sheds light on MOI crime reduction policy and recommends the following: conducting surveys to diagnose criminal phenomena and identify causal factors; setting remedies for deviant behaviors; focusing on special security training; developing an electronic system to monitor and analyse criminal phenomena and lastly empowering police staff to study such phenomena and develop solutions.
