الملخص الإنجليزي

The study mainly aimed at determining factors affecting the equality of the distribution of income in the Arab world, and Palestine was used as a case study to identify those determinants.

The study independent variables are per capita gross domestic production, per capita national income, social security payments, unemployment rates, and foreign aid, while the dependent variable is Gini coefficient, which was independently calculated in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and Palestine in general.

The collected data was available within the period between (1996) and (2011).

The study adopted the analytical-descriptive approach to test the hypotheses and to identify the effect on the study variables using simple regression analysis.

The study reached several findings, the most important of which are the following: There was a significant inverse effect between the Palestinian per capita national income and its own Gini coefficient.

There was a significant negative relation between per capita GDP in the West Bank and its own Gini coefficient of the West Bank.

And There was a significant negative relation between per capita income in the West Bank and its Gini coefficient of the West Bank.

The study recommended efficiency of the social security payments in order to guarantee a quality life for the Palestinian people.

Optimal utilization of grants and foreign aid.

And Utilization of the grants and aid in establishing of industrial sectors rather than in job creation to ensure the sustainability, which will help to alleviate the disparity in spending level among households.
